You lose track of God’s grace when you’re always in a hurry.

The whitetail deer can run 40 miles per hour and swim at 13 miles per hour, but during the winter, they slow down to store up more energy to keep them warm for the season.

Like the deer, God’s creation is made to obey Him in the season that they put them into in order for them to grow.

Let me tell you a bit about my experience.

I’ve tried freeing up my schedules just to cope up with serving the Lord, but I didn’t realize it was slowly eating up my time with him.

We’re passionate about a lot of things, building dreams and following visions that God wants us to do, but I remember what He said in 1 Corinthians 13:3 (NIV), it says: “If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but I do not have love, I gain nothing.”

This love does not only refer to loving others but loving yourself first.

That took awhile for me to learn when I was sentenced to a “forced break” a.k.a bed-ridden for two days because of sickness.

In the most little things, in a subtle manner, God speaks to us about taking care of what he has given us—our body, our emotions, our finances and our relationships.

He is the one that brings order to all these things we constantly worry about. To worry is a sin, but to confront sin with Him and do continuous acts of repentance is the most important thing to Him. and it doesn’t get fixed by magic; it needs time.

Sometimes we fast track on solving our problems, we speed up trying to make our dreams a reality; we do all sorts of things to make us instantly happy, but know that it is important for us to STOP, THINK and FEEL anger, grief, sadness and SURRENDER them to God and let His Word bring light to every situation.

Nobody likes to struggle, but it’s reality. Everyone who believes in Jesus and those who don’t, struggle with sin in their lives. The only difference with those who believe is they affirm “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided that we duffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” Romans 8:16-17

All those who believe and keep God’s commandments and confess their sin and repent go from glory to glory.

1 John 4:15-17 (ESV)

15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.

1 John 5:3-5 (ESV)

3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

  1. Health comes 2nd after our relationship with God Care. It’s good to serve but do not overwork yourself. You are not a robot. Been there – overworking on things we thought we had to do to the point of sacrificing our health. We need to slow down! 🙂
